Instantheat LTD has been a family-run plumbing and heating business since 2006. Two decades on, we're still doing what we started out to do: honest workmanship, fair pricing, and a job done right the first time.

Twenty years, two bases, one way of working
Instantheat started in 2006 as a one-van operation and has grown steadily since, entirely on repeat work and recommendations rather than advertising. Two decades in, we still run it the same way: the person who quotes your job is the person who does it, and the phone is answered by someone who knows what is going on at your property.
Working from Whitefield and Romiley gives us proper coverage of both sides of Greater Manchester — the Bury, Bolton and north Manchester side from one, the Stockport, Tameside and Cheshire side from the other. It means shorter journeys, faster response when something has failed, and no travel costs padding out a quote.
Between the team there is over 45 years of combined experience, which mostly shows up in the jobs that are not straightforward: back boiler conversions in Victorian terraces with nowhere obvious to put a flue, oversized systems in large period houses, and heating that has been extended piecemeal by three different firms over thirty years. Those are the ones where knowing what you are looking at saves the customer money.

What we will tell you that others might not
If your boiler has years left in it, we will say so rather than sell you a new one. If a combi is the wrong call for a house with three bathrooms, we will explain why a system boiler and cylinder will serve you better even though it is a bigger job. And if a repair is genuinely not worth doing on a fifteen-year-old appliance, we will tell you that too.
Heating is something most people buy two or three times in their life, which makes it very hard to judge whether you are being dealt with fairly. The only real defence is a firm that expects to still be here in ten years and would rather have your next job than the biggest possible invoice today. That is the business we have tried to build.
